Your project o.d.r. checklist

  • Dream it.

    1. Determine Rink Location

    2. Measure and Square Your Rink, including the grade

    3. Use Pythagorean theorem to ensure your rink is a perfect rectangle

    4. Find the rink that is the best fit for you. We use NiceRink Tall Boards.

    5. Order Your Linear

  • Build it.

    PREP
    1. Order Liner (a couple months ahead of flooding.
    2. Install Your Boards
    3. Add Under Ice LED lights (optional)

    DAY OF FILL
    1. Install Liner ( Fill right after install, rolling out carefully, covering boards completely, weigh down with water in corners, and smooth out any wrinkles)

    2. Fill the Rink (Fill from center out, expect to use a few thousand gallons of water)

    3. Let Ice Freeze (4+ inches is ideal for skating)

  • Skate It.

    1. Monitor for 2-4in of solid ice before first skate

    2. Put up netting

    3. Deck out with accessories such as lights, flags, benches

    4. Ice Maintenance
